Sammaty Web Offline Discontinued

Nandakumar has discontinued the offline Web version of Sammaty, which visitors have used to generate thousands of custom election apps so far. The reasons for discontinuation are:

The offline desktop version of Sammaty has to be brought back to active development. It was the original version of Sammaty, but the development was inactive since the first release in 2012.
Sammaty Offline Web was getting increasingly popular (tens of thousands of votes per month at peak), at the same time it has proven to be untrustworthy if the users fail to meet all the system requirements. It is impractical to provide free technical support for all the users.
A fully-online version of Sammaty (not replacing the offline desktop one) is envisioned, and more time and energy spent on the offline Web version would eventually prove to be wasted.

Although Sammaty Offline Web is still not fully withdrawn from the server, it is planned to be discontinued permanently.
